Upcoming HTC phones 2014: HTC continues its assault on the midrange and entry level markets with an impending release of another smartphone with a budget-friendly price tag. 

If you love HTC's design and build form factor, but is hindered by steep pricing of its previous devices, then you may want to check this new entry-level device. 

According to a report from GSM Arena, the Desire 316 has just appeared on HTC China's website, which means launch of the smartphone would be sooner rather than later. 

Spec-wise, there isn't anything to boast about this new HTC handset, though for people who want an HTC phone but only has a small amount of cash, it would certainly be a gift from above. 

The HTC Desire 316 packs a 5-inch screen with qHD (960 x 540) resolution, a 1.2GHz quad-core CPU, 4GB of internal memory and a 5-megapixel camera. 

Unfortunately, the phone only runs on a 512MB RAM which pretty breaks the deal for power users. 

Other specs include a microSD card slot, 1950mAh battery and Android 4.3 Jelly Bean out of the box. We expect it to be launched any time this month in China and its neighboring Asian countries.
