Install Android 4.4.2 KitKat Update On Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note 3; Phablet Receives New Minor Update With Support For WiFi Calling

Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note 3 users can now install the latest Android 4.4.2 KitKat update.

After the release of the major firmware update based on Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note 3 in February, the latest phablet from the South Korean manufacturer is now receiving a new firmware. According to Android Geeks, the latest Android 4.4.2 KitKat update released for Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is only a minor one, as it adds only a support for WiFi calling.

As posted on Sprint's support page, the firmware, N900PVPUCNC5, was released on April 2 via Over-the-Air update. But since it is being rolled out in stages, it may take a while for all the Sprint Galaxy Note 3 users to receive the minor update. For those interested to install Android 4.4.2 KitKat update on Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note 3, check the firmware's availability by going to Settings > General > System Update > Update.

The latest Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note 3 update can also be checked manually by using the Samsung KIES desktop tool.

On the other hand, an automatic system update message should also be available once the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update becomes available for your phablet. It will simply pop up in the notification area and users can instantly download the update file, and install it afterwards.

Aside from the Galaxy Note 3, Sprint also rolled out the Wifi calling support to other devices. In February, it was released for Samsung Galaxy Mega and Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini.

Meanwhile, as posted on Gotta Be Mobile, Verizon  has not yet released any Android 4.4.2 KitKat updates for its Samsung Galaxy Note 3 units. The post reads:

The Verizon Galaxy Note 3 Android 4.4 KitKat update remains missing in action and its officially the last Galaxy Note 3 Android 4.4 KitKat update yet to hit the United States.
