Upcoming Android Phones 2014: Huawei's Ascend P7 Appears In Live Images, Rumored Specs Include 5.5" 1080p Display, Quad-Core CPU, 2GB Of RAM, 13MP And 8MP Shooters

Upcoming Android phones 2014: Three full months into the year and we have already seen a bunch of new smartphones, especially in the Android platform. While Windows Phone has been on a roll with its impending 8.1 update, it is clear that Android is still the OS choice for most users.

And now, we are taking a look at what appears to be Huawei's newest flagship.

The Chinese manufacturer has been working really hard the past few months, and so far it has done wonders, broke records and is selling its smartphones like pancakes.

And now that the world has noticed it, we are now expecting a lot from Huawei in this upcoming Android handset.

According to a report by GSM Arena, a number of live images have appeared on the We showing us a prototype of the Huawei Ascend P7.

French website Nowhereelse has done it again as it provides the leaked images, which completely make sense as Huawei would unveil the Ascend P7 in Paris on May 7.

So is the upcoming Huawei flagship worth a second look?

From previous leaks and rumors, some of the device's specs include a 5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080) display, a quad-core CPU, the company's HiSilicon chip, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory. The 720p display resolution shown on the live images could just belong to the prototype.

No company in its right mind would launch a successor that has inferior specs compared to the original.

Most Android and camera enthusiasts would also be delighted to know that a 13MP shooter at the back, and an 8MP front-facing camera powers the Ascend P7.

Other specs include a 2,460mAh battery, and possibly Android 4.4 Kitkat out of the box. Considering Huawei's previous releases, the Ascend P7 is expected to be a competitively-priced.
