Upcoming Android Tablets 2014: Qualcomm's Developer Tablet Could Be The Best Android Device For Gadget Geeks, Specs Include 10.1" QHD Display, 2.7GHz Quad-Core CPU, Snapdragon 805, Tons Of Sensors

Upcoming Android tablets 2014: Every spec you have hoped for, with the fastest quad-core chip on the planet today, will all be packed in a single Android tablet.

According to a report by Android Community, what would probably be the highest-spec'd and most feature-rich device will start shipping by the end of April, and it is manufactured by non other than Qualcomm.

Dubbed as the Snapdragon 805 Mobile Development Platform Tablet or MDP/T, this monster device is primarily aimed at Android app developers.

It will pack a 10.1-inch IPS display with QHD or 2K (2560 x 1600) resolution, four Krait 450 cores running at a whopping 2.7GHz, Snapdragon 805 chipset, 3GB of RAM, 64GB of expandable storage through a microSD card slot, and Android 4.4 Kitkat out of the box.

If you think those specs indicate that this tablet is a beast, you ain't seen nothing yet.

Also on board is Adreno 420 that supports geometry shaders, hardware tessellation, and other graphics extensive tasks which would allow the user to work with ease.

Qualcomm's MDP/T device also has a flurry of sensors which include the usual accelerometer, light sensor, up to the high-end fingerprint scanner.

As for photography features, the tablet will sport a 13MP primary camera at the back and a 2MP front-facing cam that supports 3D gesture.

With all these features, the Qualcomm MDP/T slate will cost $799. And because it is primarily aimed at developers, non-developers may not find any good use for such an expensive device. This is definitely a future proof device that could last and withstand new device releases in the next two or three years at most.

So what do you think? Does this monster Android tablet give you goosebumps, or are you just going to let this pass and move on to the next decently-spec'd device with hopefully a cheaper price tag?
