The 'Ant-Man' Movie is slowly forming its cast. The leads have been chosen (Paul Rudd, Michael Douglas) and some actors are cast without shedding light on their specific roles. Now, we have Matt Gerald as a 'villain.'

Matt Gerald appeared in the Marvel short-film "All Hail The King.' The short film was featured in the "Thor: The Dark World" Blu-Ray package.

"The full report on his Ant-Man casting from Deadline: Matt Gerald has joined the cast of Marvel's Ant-Man for director Edgar Wright. Paul Rudd stars at the titular superhero, alongside Patrick Wilson, Michael Douglas and Michael Pena. Gerald will play one of the bad guys. He recently wrapped Solace with Anthony Hopkins and Colin Farrell, and his credits include Avatar, Escape Plan, Dexter and Hawaii Five-O."

The implication of an Ant Man villain in the same prison as Trevor Slattery brings up questions about the timeline. Did somebody break Gerald's character from Seagate Prison? Who would do that? Would this involve Trevor Slattery himself?

It was implied that Slattery was afraid of the 'real' menace that he has imitated (and pissed off in the process). This was teased by "All Hail the King" director and "Iron Man 3" writer Drew Pearce in an interview with Geek Exchange:

"..but who knows how the crazy world of the Marvel Cinematic Universe may unfold? I think there's a never say never sense to every part of the MCU. We'll see. The character that comes back in the tag of the one-shot felt like he would never appear again. I think his appearance in the one-shot reminds people that he's in the universe and how exciting he is. Who knows? Maybe we get to see him as well."
