Gabby Douglas Returns To Olympic Coach As Aly Raisman Aims For October Comeback: Watch Viktoria Komova And Aliya Mustafina 2014 Balance Bar Routines At Russian Championships [VIDEO]

As a new gymnastics season arrives, Gabby Douglas and Aly Raisman of the Fab 5 are making headlines with training announcements.

According to USA Today, Gabby Douglas will be returning to Liang Chow in Iowa after leaving the gym last August.

"We are welcoming Gabby to come back in our gym," says Chow. "We are all excited to see her next week. It is hard for me to make any detailed training plan at this point since I have not seen her for a long time."

"I know it will be a lot of challenges ahead of us. The real test will be to see how tough Gabby can be to achieve her goals and to meet all of our training expectations."

But Gabby Douglas is not the only one making big adjustments in anticipation of the 2016 Olympics in Rio.

Fellow 2012 team member and gold medalist Aly Raisman will reportedly be aiming to return to the Martha Karolyi training camp after October.

According NBCSports, Raisman initially planned on making a return to competition at the 2014 U.S. Classic in August, but her comeback has been pushed back.

“[U.S. National Team Coordinator] Martha [Karolyi] and Mihai and Silvia Brestyan, my coaches, they all decided just to wait and to take it slow and to not rush,” says Raisman.

“It’ll be my first time being at training camp in over two years, so I think it’ll be [Karolyi's] way of really watching me. So I’ll be really nervous, but I’m working really hard so she can see the improvement.”

Other 2012 Olympic gymnasts making comeback also include Russian rivals Viktoria Komova and Aliya Mustafina, who both competed at the 2014 Russian Championships.
