Hall of Famers Lou Brock, Bob Gibson, Ozzie Smith, Bruce Sutter, Red Schoendienst, Tony La Russa and Whitey Herzog are expected to attend the grand opening of the hall of fame museum several hours before the first pitch. The museum will portray the great moments throughout the history of the Cardinals organization.

"Opening day in Cincinnati, we were all anxious to just take off realizing there were not a whole lot of people that wanted us to do well -- even though there was a lot of red in the stands," manager Mike Matheny told ESPN.com. "There's nothing like being home for the first one."

Mike Matheny's advice to the uninitiated: Take it all in, and then take care of business against the Reds, the home opener opponent for the second straight year, according to ESPN.com.

"This is pretty cool, this is the stuff you talk about when you're playing Wiffle ball in the backyard," Matheny told ESPN.com. "Don't let this slip by, but by the way, let's get something done here."
