Owners of the T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S2 can now install Android 4.4.2 KitKat update via a custom firmware.

Released back in 2011, the T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S2 originally runs the Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread and can officially be upgraded with the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean, as posted on GSM Arena. However, T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S2 users who wish to install Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update, Google's latest mobile OS, can do so using a custom ROM.

International Business Times reported that the T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S2 can now be upgraded by installing custom ROM called LiquidSmooth, which is based on the Android Open Source Project. Android 4.4.2-based LiquidSmooth ROM also brings in features such as custom animation controls, Privacy Guard, Slims QuickSettings, LockScreen Notifications and Built in SuperUser.
