American Horror Story Cast Gambles In Vegas As Season 4 Freak Show Ignites Circus Act Rumors: Does Ryan Murphy Series Glorify Rape And Self-Mutilation?

As "American Horror Story" season 4 "Freak Show" begins pre-production, some very interesting updates on the cast and Internet rumors have surfaced.

While we know that Lange's character will portray a German expatriate who is "managing one of the last freak show in the U.S.," very little is known about what cast members like Kathy Bates, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Angela Bassett, and Frances Conroy will do as a part of the freak show.

“I don’t know if I’ll be a Siamese twin or a bearded lady!” says Bassett to E! News.

One cast member whose return is still up in the air is actress Jamie Brewer, who has been a part of "American Horror Story" since season 1 and most recently in "Coven."

But don't worry, by the looks of this Instagram photo, it seems Brewer is enjoying herself in Vegas with the slots.

Other cast members still in discussion to return include Emma Roberts and Denis O'Hare. However, it seems like Lily Rabe and Taissa Farmiga will not be returning to "American Horror Story" season 4 "Freak Show."

But does "American Horror Story" glorify self-harm and rape? Some Twitter users certainly seem to think so.

Do you think "American Horror Story" glorifies issues like rape and mutilation?
