Upcoming Android Tablets 2014: Korean Tech Giant Already Working On Another Tablet Lineup, Specs Include 10.5" Super AMOLED Display, QHD Resolution, 2GB RAM, 8MP Shooter

Upcoming Android tablets 2014: A common saying states 'when it rains, it pours'. And from the looks of it Samsung is holding it deep in its heart.

Just last week, Samsung unveiled its Tab 4.0 lineup, which is composed of midrange Android tablets which would cater to the mass and emerging market. But the Korean tech giant is not done yet.

As if there is a scarcity of Android tablets in the market today, Samsung is allegedly working on a high-end lineup of slates.

According to a report by BGR, notorious leakster and insider of everything Samsung, SamMobile has recently posted that the Korean manufacturer will soon launch a new lineup of tablets.

Bearing model numbers with the SM-T800 variety, the Android slates would be on the higher-end of the spectrum, unlike the Tab 4.0 models announced last week.

And because the alleged Samsung slates have already made it passed the FCC, we could expect them to arrive sooner rather than later.

In tune with previous rumors, the tablets would boast the company's famed Super AMOLED display, which has not graced any Samsung-made tablet for almost three years.

Alleged specs of the SM-T800 tablets include a 10.5-inch screen with QHD or 2K (2560 x 1440) resolution, a Snapdragon 801 chipset, quad-core Krait 400 CPU, 2GB of RAM, an 8-megapixel camera, options for 16, 32, 64, and 128GB storage, a 7,900mAh battery, and Android 4.4.2 Kitkat out of the box.

While we do not know exactly whether the Android tablet will indeed run on these specs, the fact that it already passed FCC could be proof that these specs are final.

Unfortunately, details for the slates' official name, availability, as well as pricing are not yet disclosed, though we expect such info to creep up the rumor mill in the coming days.
