Samsung Galaxy S5 Premium Edition Specs Leaked Once More, Include Aluminum Casing, QHD (2560 x 1440) Display, 3GB RAM, Android 4.4.2 KitKat

Samsung Galaxy S5 Premium Edition specs: Will Samsung release a premium version of its current flagship, the Galaxy S5? If you are going to listen to Samsung itself, the answer will be a big no. In fact, an exec from the Korean tech giant stated that there will be no premium versions for the Galaxy S5.

However, if you look at the recent rumors circulating all over the tech world, we know that the company is definitely cooking something - and it certainly looks like a premium version of the Galaxy S5.

According to a report by GSM Arena, more evidences of the premium Galaxy S5 have surfaced thanks to an appearance on benchmarking app GFXBench

In the benchmark, some of the higher-end Samsung Galaxy S5 ( we will call it 'Prime' from now on) specs include the same 5.2-inch display, but with a much better screen resolution of QHD or 2K (2560 x 1440).

Dubbed as SM-G906S, the Galaxy S5 Prime is also rumored to rock the newest Snapdragon 805 chipset, a quad-core CPU running at 2.5GHz, and Adreno 420 GPU for superior graphics performance.

The RAM department has also been upgraded from 2 to 3, almost doubling the multi-tasking performance of the device.

To top it off, the Galaxy S5 Prime would get a 16MP primary camera, most probably with optical image stabilization, a 2MP front facing camera, and it will run on Android 4.4.2 KitKat out of the box.

And as you can tell, this premium version of the device is aimed to get as much market share from Apple before it even launches the highly anticipated iPhone 6.
