Upcoming Android Phones 2014: Sharp Unleashes 5.2" Phone With Super Slim Bezels, Specs Incl. Snapdragon 800, 13MP Camera, 2GB RAM

Upcoming Android phones 2014: Do you think most high-end smartphones today already have super huge screens which take up almost the entire front panel of the device? Well, Sharp has other things in mind.

According to a recent report by GSM Arena, the Japanese manufacturer has just unveiled its Sharp AQUOS Xx 304SH and will be available via local carrier SoftBank Mobile.

So what's so special about this Android phone?

Well, in case you do not know anything about Sharp, it is an electronics manufacturer that focuses on displays and screens. And in the AQUOS Xx 304SH, that is practically its biggest strength.

Believe it or not, its 5.2-inch display takes up almost 79 percent of the screen-to-body ratio. That only means that 79 percent of the entire facade of the Sharp smartphone is its screen, with the remaining 21 percent its bezels - or what's left of them.

In the image, we can see that there is almost nothing at the top of the display, save for the speaker. Below is where most of the space has been placed, with the Sharp branding and some capacitive buttons maximizing it. The side bezels are also extremely thin, matching even Sony's Xperia Z2 in that department.

However, you are wrong if you think that the selling point of this device is all in the display. The Sharp AQUOS Xx 304SH also packs some pretty impressive specs including a Snapdragon 800 chipset, a 2.3GHz CPU with four Krait 400 cores running, 2GB of RAM, and a 32GB internal memory.

The smartphone also packs a microSD card slot that can handle up to 128GB of expanded storage. At the back is a 13MP primary camera and a 2.1MP front cam. The phone runs on 2,600mAh battery, though we cannot tell how long it will last with a Full HD display.

The Sharp smartphone will reportedly launch in Japan soon.
