Oasis Reunion 2014: Liam Gallagher Hinting at an Oasis Reunion; Bookies Laying Odds; Original Oasis Guitarist Chimed in Months Ago

Oasis Reunion 2014: Oasis reunion rumors are circulating after ex-frontman Liam Gallagher dropped a big cryptic hint on Twitter.

Every few months, there is speculation that Oasis might be getting back together. In December, Oasis guitarist Paul ''Bonehead'' Arthurs said Oasis would be reuniting in 2014. The 48-year-old musician, real name Paul Arthurs, was the original guitarist with Oasis. He quit in 1999.

Speculation is also coming from British bookies.Oasis, who stood on the shoulders of rock gods before them, just might be getting back together. Liam Gallagher took to Twitter to tease with the possibilities. But can you bet on it?

Liam Gallagher upped the odds by tweeting a teasing "will they or won't they" message about a possible Oasis reunion on a tweet-by-tweet, name-dropping, hint-laden Twitter feed.

First Liam tweeted the name Oasis, one letter at a time. Over the course of several hours. Then Gallagher tweeted "OASIS LG".

This was enough to get bookies laying odd that his old band might be headlining Glastonbury in June.

Jessica Bridge of the odds-laying Ladbrokes said "Oasis were 33/1 until Liam's cryptic tweet and within minutes punters were clamoring to back them at any price available to headline Glastonbury. In next to no time we've racked up significant liabilities on a sensational reunion and it was time to take a breather when they were backed into  odds-on."

A Paddy Power spokesperson said "It's looking as though Oasis will live forever after all."

Oasis is fronted by the brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher, they are as well known for their on and off stage bickering, and have been in a feud with each other over music projects and other bands over careless quotes.

There were rumors earlier this year that Oasis would be reuniting when the band posted a similarly cryptic message on Facebook. But that turned out to be a promotion for the remastered version of "Definitely Maybe."

Gallagher's publicist has not made any comment.
