Samsung Galaxy S5 Neo Is A Lower-End Flagship With The Same Build And Looks, Rumored Specs Include 5.1" 720p Display, 2.3GHz Quad-Core CPU

Samsung Galaxy S5 Neo: A couple of months after the Samsung Galaxy S5 flagship has been launched, the Korean manufacturer has been reportedly working on a flurry of variations of the high-end smartphone. Earlier today, the Galaxy K Zoom (Galaxy S5 Zoom) has been announced and would become available in May.

There has also been rumors about a Galaxy S5 mini and Active, which have both appeared in previous leaks.

Now, according to a report from GSM Arena, another Galaxy S5 variant may already be under development in India - the Galaxy S5 Neo.

Samsung's Neo branding became popular earlier this year when it was attached to its new lineup of Android tablets, and for the previous months it has also been considered as a midrange version of any high-end device that comes before it.

And so, it is certainly not surprising to see the Korean tech giant doing whatever it takes to cover as much of the mobile market as possible.

In the leaked file, the Galaxy S5 Neo appears in an import database for Indian site Zauba. And from what we can see, it could be a great deal for casual Android users.

The Samsung Galaxy S5 Neo reportedly packs the same 5.1-inch display of the flagship model, but only gets HD or 1280 x 720 resolution. Also on board is a quad-core CPU, but it only runs on 2.3GHz compared to the 2.5GHz CPU of the higher-end Galaxy S5.

Unfortunately, that is all there is to know about the Samsung Galaxy S5 Neo for now. We are expecting a lower end camera sensor, no water resistance, no heartbeat monitor, but hopefully, OIS would still be included.

We will bring you more details about this midrange device in the coming weeks.
