Upcoming Lenovo Phones 2014: Chinese Manufacturer Unleashes S860 With 4,000mAh Battery To Last 28-40 On 3G-2G Connectivity, Costs Around $355 In India

Upcoming Lenovo phones 2014: Lenovo may be the world's biggest PC maker, but that does not mean it does not do well in other departments in the industry. Two of these niches are the tablet and smartphone sectors.

And in a recent report by GSM Arena, the Chinese brand has just announced a new midrange smartphone that may get the interest of loyal Android fans, especially in India where it will be first available.

In the report, the upcoming Lenovo smartphone packs a 5.3-inch IPS display with 1280 x 720 resolution, a quad-core CPU clocked at 1.3GHz, and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out of the box.

Dubbed as the Lenovo S860, the device brags its 4,000mAh battery that Lenovo claims to hold up to 28 to 40 days worth of charge for 3G and 2G connectivity respectively. However, those numbers would have to be put to the test in real life before Android fans rejoice.

Also on board the Android-powered smartphone is dual-SIM support which is highly popular among Asian countries. In the report, the Lenovo S860 costs around INR21,500 or $355 in India and is now available through Indian website TheDotStore.

Specs-wise, the Lenovo S860 is a decent buy, but the absence of Kitkat out of the box may disappoint most, if not all potential buyers. Hopefully, the company would be able to release an update soon.

International availability details have not yet been revealed at the moment.
