HTC One M8 With Beats-Like Capabilities Makes Its Way To Sprint, Packs Identical Specs To Original Flagship, Costs $0 Down For 24-Month Contract

HTC One M8: Are you a fan of HTC but you felt sad that it has parted ways with Beats Audio? Then, you better smile because the Taiwanese manufacturer has been able to develop a Beats-like version of its HTC One M8 flagship.

According to a report by GSM Arena, HTC One M8 Harman/Kardon Edition has just been made official and will be exclusive for Sprint Wireless beginning on May 2.

So what's so special about this Harman/Kardon Edition?

In the report, the smartphone will be an audio-centric version of the HTC One M8 and offers a much better audio experience. The smartphone will also be able to play lossless HD audio via a 24 bit/192kHz DAC.

This HTC One M8 edition also comes with the Harman application, the first time it will be made available in a mobile device. It allows the smartphone to 'rebuild' a track's audio which may have been lost during compression.

In the report, the HTC One M8 Harman/Kardon edition will be available on a 24-month contract for only about $28 per month. Sprint would also include a Harman/Kardon AE-S headphone in the package for you to get the most out of your deal.

HTC has been doing well the previous quarter compared to its disastrous last couple of years. The HTC One M8 certainly made an impact, but most of the credit should be given to the strong midrange lineup the Taiwanese manufacturer has formed early in 2014.

And while getting variants of the same flagship device does not hurt (Samsung has done it over the past three years), HTC should remain focused in bringing its stunning designs and premium build phones to the midrange market.

After all, getting back on track cannot be achieved easily, but one step at a time.
