NBA Playoffs 2014: Miami Heat Will Get Easiest Championship? Toughest Rivals Pacers, Bulls, Thunder, Spurs All Struggling!

The Miami Heat are the luckiest team in the league even as they already have the best player. In the NBA Playoffs 2014, they are likely to get a free pass to the championship as the teams they struggle with the most are on the brink, if not already eliminated.

Perhaps the four teams that Miami fears the most are those that they recently had a tough series with. These teams have brought Miami to 6 or 7 games at some point and have unearthed chinks in their armor that they have studied extensively.

The four teams would have to be the Chicago Bulls, Indiana Pacers, Oklahoma City Thunder and San Antonio Spurs.

The Chicago Bulls have already been eliminated by the Washington Wizards. This is a shocker but when the Wizards led 3-1, so many sports writers were critical of how no one saw the writing on the (John) Wall. The Wizards are poised for greatness. Last year, the Chicago Bulls had a full season without Derrick Rose but they made the 2nd round and even gave Miami their first loss in the Playoffs.

Now even without Rose, expectations are high. When they made the playoffs, they were expected to go farther than last year and be the ones to dislodge the Heat. No chance of that happening this season.

The Indiana Pacers are in the middle of an inexplicable slump. While they were obsessed with beating the Heat, they forgot about their current opponent, the Atlanta Hawks. Down 3-1, they need three straight victories, all do-or-die scenarios.

ESPN had some opinions on San Antonio's series with the Dallas Mavericks: "Unexpected. I thought the Spurs would lose one of the first two games as they kicked off their first-round rust, but the traditionally defenseless Mavericks went one step further and largely outclassed the Spurs over the first four games of the series. The Mavs are a fantastic 8-seed, but their defense hasn't played nearly this well since Tyson Chandler wore Maverick blue. An absolutely shocking series."

The Spurs are seeded at the top, while the Mavericks got the last ticket. Tim Duncan's crew were expected to sweep, but they barely won Game 5 to gain a 3-2 advantage.

Finally, the OKC Thunder. Kevin Durant may successfully wrest the MVP from LeBron James, but their team is less likely to take the championship from them. They are down, 2-3, one win away from elimination to a Memphis Grizzlies that seems to have them all figured out.

There is a remote chance that Miami gets to avoid all four of them-the Spurs are probably the closest to contend. Still, sneaking through three out of their four-team nemesis would be a miracle for the Heat.
