As "American Horror Story" begins to go into season 4 "Freak Show," updates regarding its current and former cast members have surfaced.

First, it appears former cast member Taissa Farmiga will remain just that, and won't be joining "American Horror Story" season 4.

According to the actress's Twitter account, the "American Horror Story" alum has begun filming the movie "Final Girls."

"A young woman grieving the loss of her mother, a famous scream queen from the 1980s, finds herself pulled into the world of her mom's most famous movie. Reunited, the women must fight off the film's maniacal killer," says the synopsis from IMDB.

Given the timing, it can only be assumed that Farmiga will not be returning to "American Horror Story" season 4 "Freak Show."

So far, the confirmed cast members returning to "American Horror Story" include Jessica Lange, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett, Frances Conroy, Emma Roberts, Denis O'Hare, Gabourey Sidibe, and Jamie Brewer.

Sadly for fans, this list does not include Lily Rabe, who has been dazzling fans on "American Horror Story" since season 1, "Murder House."

But that doesn't mean the actress isn't hanging out with her fellow "American Horror Story" family.

On April 30, Sarah Paulson uploaded a photo with Lily Rabe and "Game of Thrones" actor Pedro Pascal, showing their camaraderie.

Does this mean Lily Rabe might be making an appearance on season 4 anyway?
