Friends Reunion 2014: Matt Le Blanc and Friends Creators Categorically Deny All Rumors of a Friends Reunion

Friends Reunion 2014: Matt Le Blanc is the latest "Friends" cast member to quash rumors of a Friends movie reunion.

During a stop in England to promote the next season of his new show "Episodes," Matt Le Blanc told "The One Show" that there won't be a Friends reunion in 2014.

Le Blanc played Joey Tribbiani on "Friends," when asked about reunion rumors on "The One Show" he was adamant that he would not be teaming up with Jennifer Aniston, Courtney Cox, Matthew Perry, David Schwimmer and Lisa Kudrow anytime soon.

In a previous interview, Le Blanc told Entertainment Weekly "I don't want to see old Joey. I don't want to see Chandler and Monica with their kids that are big now. I'd rather imagine that. Everyone's going to have a different vision of what those characters are like, so to have that materialise is going to disappoint most people... It's better to just let them think."

Matt was at Radio 2 to appear on Chris Evans' breakfast show to promote the third season of "Episodes" where Matt plays an exaggerated version of himself. On the show, Le Blanc sat through the full version of Friends theme song "I'll Be There For You."

Evans broke him down with that and LeBlanc admitted "I watch it all the times. Can't get enough. It's on a loop at my house!"

Friends co-creators Marta Kauffman and David Crane also shot down rumors saying "Honestly, I have to go back to: The show is over. What was at the heart of the show is done. And let's be honest, it's 20 years later," Kauffman told the mag. "Nobody looks like they did then. And you're going to spend the whole time going, 'Wow, he's aged. Or she's...'"

Crane said "If anyone wants Friends, turn on your TV! Amazingly, thank God, it's there. And these are all great actors that you're seeing all the time in other things. Marta and I've talked about this a lot: People say they want it, and the more that we say it's a bad idea, people [disagree]. But I think if we actually gave it to people, there would be such backlash."

Last year LeBlanc told Boston Common "I'll always be known for Friends-so will Matthew [Perry], David [Schwimmer], Courteney [Cox]. It's OK with me. I can only speak for myself, but I'm very proud of it. I wouldn't do anything differently."

LeBlanc's character started on the sidelines, down the hall. "Joey was a peripheral character in the beginning. He was this guy who lived across the hall and hit on the girls all the time. Fortunately, I had the foresight to think, 'This is a special thing that's starting to gel, like a lighting-in- a-bottle thing, and I want to make sure I stick around.'  It was a survival tactic. Because I thought, 'How long can it last if I'm just the guy hitting on them?'"

The cast of "Friends" is keeping busy. Matthew Perry is making a pilot for "The Odd Couple" for CBS. Matt LeBlanc is doing his best work in years on the Showtime series "Episodes," playing Matt LeBlanc. Courteney Cox is a cougar on "Cougar Town." Lisa Kudrow has been starring in court room appearance. Jennifer Aniston is hot off "The Millers," has a new movie and a new haircut. Not sure what David Schwimmer's doing, will check tomorrow. Matthew Perry is going to reboot the classic TV series, and Neil Simon play and movie, "The Odd Couple."  'Odd Couple' will be filmed as a multi-camera comedy, the same format Perry used in 'Friends'.
