Manchester City will face off against rival Everton on Saturday, placing two of the English Premier League's closely followed teams against each other.

Manchester City, coming out of a 2-0 win over Crystal Palace, is expected to be the favorite in the match.

Manchester City Manager Manuel Pellegrini said the title turnaround last Sunday has lifted his team's blues, The Independent, reports. 

"Of course, when you just depend on what you can do it is better for all the players," he said, according to the site.

"After we lost against Liverpool, maybe the mood wasn't the same. That's maybe why we didn't play so well against Sunderland."

Everton, coming out of a 2-0 loss to Southampton, is expected to be the underdog in the match.

Everton Manager Roberto Martínez said his team wants to beat Manchester City even if it helps Liverpool win the Premiere League.

"I can understand the banter between the fans but Liverpool can be assured that Goodison will be the toughest place for Man City to travel this season, that is for sure," Martínez said, according to the site.

"There is not even a question mark about us. For us it means everything to win this game in terms of the overall season. We need to get the six points, that's vital."
