Cheap Android Phones 2014: $20-Android Handset Could Become Available In The Next Couple Of Months, Packs Single Core Cortex-A5 CPU

Cheap Android phones 2014: During the past couple of years, more and more cheap Android phones have been released in the market. And while these do not have the same respectable specs of midrangers and high-end handsets, there are still consumers who prefer such devices mainly for communication purposes only.

But how far would manufacturers go in terms of lowering down smartphone prices?

According to a recent report by BGR, a report from AnandTech tells us something very interesting, well as far as pricing is concerned.

While covering the ARM's Tech Day, the tech blog reports that the company believes that a $20 phone would soon launch, and in a few months to be specific.

No, that's not a typo. The rumored smartphone would really cost just $20 as ARM says, which is equivalent to a few purchases from Google's Play Store.

Firefox has recently released a $25 phone running on its own mobile OS, and Android would surely be under way.

But what about the phone's specs? We do not know anything yet about this mysterious $20 phone aside from its supposed CPU, which is a single core Cortex-A5 2.5G. Othre than that, all of the phone's specs are likely to be extremely low-end.

So are you looking forward to what could be the cheapest smartphone in the world?
