Android Apps Free Download: Transform Your Phone Into An HTC One M8 With 'Knockr', Allows Unlocking, Direct Access To Apps Without The Power Button

Android apps free download: Not everyone knows that apart from the hardware improvements of the HTC One M8 from its predecessor, the Taiwanese manufacturer has also included some really cool features which let people interact with their smartphone better and easier. 

In case you are wondering what features are these, then you better try out Knockr, free from Google's Play Store. 

Knockr is a free app that allows users to unlock their smartphones from sleep without pushing the power button. In addition, the application can also be configured in such a way that certain swipe directions would not only wake up the phone, but take you directly to the assigned application. 

The default unlocking setting of the Knockr app is double tap. That means when you double tap your screen, it would automatically unlock itself without you doing anything else. 

As for the swipes, the application allows up to four different types of swipes based on direction - up, down, left and right. You can assign different applications for different swipe directions in order to save time and effort. 

Unfortunately, Knockr's Play Store page says that the function would only work efficiently in OLED displays. 

Great Concept, Poor Execution

I've also used the application in my own smartphone and I expected better results. However, I observed that almost half the time, the touch, tap or swipe would not register, which forces me to do the gesture all over again. In addition, whenever you turn off the screen using the power button, it will turn back on, this time with a black background probably in order for the screen pixels to detect any gestures.
