More hints about the Minecraft PS4 release date are emerging online, signifying the imminent arrival of the highly-anticipated next-gen console versions of the game.

Since the announcement of next-gen Sony console version of the game, Mojang and 4J Studios have not revealed yet an official Minecraft PS4 release date, as well as the launch schedule for the PS Vita edition. But according to a report from GameSpot last month, although there is no exact launch window yet, the game developer stated that Minecraft PS4 release date and the arrival of the PS Vita version might happen at some point during the second of third quarter of the year. Because of this, MInecraft PS4 release date might be set for until the end of September 2014. 

The Q2 / Q3 estimation for the Minecraft PS4 release date was shared by Owen Hill via the comment section of one of the posts on the official European PS Blog.

Hill's comment reads, "Sorry for the late response! We're aiming for Q2/Q3."

Meanwhile, Minecraft Xbox One Edition is also expected to arrive this year, and similar to the PS4 version, there is no official release date yet for the Microsoft console version. However, a recent listing was made on Walmart for Minecraft Xbox One Edition.

The item description on Walmart's product listing for Minecraft Xbox One edition stated:
Minecraft: Xbox One Edition is a pre-release general action game to be released in December of 2014.

Furthermore, according to Walmart's listing, the price for the Minecraft Xbox One Edition is $59.96.
As for other Minecraft news, the disc version of the PS3 Edition of the game will be arrive on May 14 in Europe and on May 16 in North America, following the successful release of the digital edition of the game. Minecraft PS3 has been available from the Playstation Network since late 2013.
