Amber Tamblyn Joins Quentin Tarantino’s `The Hateful Eight’; Kurt Russell Leaks Production Date; Tamblyn Stars on Stage in `Reasons’

Amber Tamblyn joined the cast of "The Hateful Eight," the almost-ill-fated Quentin Tarantino project that was famously leaked and almost aborted. 

Tarantino's next movie 'The Hateful Eight' will reportedly star Amber Tamblyn and Kurt Russell. Amber Tamblyn made a cameo appearance in Quentin Tarantino's 2012 award-winning movie "Django Unchained."

Russell leaked this week that Quentin Tarantino's film "The Hateful Eight," is slated for released sometime in 2015.

Kurt Russell was one of the actors who took part in a script reading of "The Hateful Eight" in April. The script was leaked and caused a lot of heartbreak for Tarantino. While talking about his role in My Fox Philly, Russell leaked that "The Hateful Eight" is set to start production early next year.

"I've got a couple of projects [coming up] ... there's a Tarantino project called 'Hateful Eight' that looks like it may go somewhere around the beginning of the year," Russell said.

Tarantino almost dropped "Hateful Eight" after it was leaked on Gawker. Tarantino sued Gawker, dropped the lawsuit and then refiled the suit early in May

It looked like the western would be put on the shelf, but Tarantino realized, hey - the fans wanted to see it and will really want to see the new movie

Amber Tamblyn, who played the title role in the series "Joan of Arcadia" and who currently plays the long-lost lesbian daughter of Charlie Sheen's dead character on "Two and a Half Men," will soon be seen in Neil LaBute's "Reasons to Be Pretty" which will be playing at the Geffen Playhouse. Tamblyn will play the role of Steph. She joins a cast that includes Shawn Hatosy, Alicia Witt and Nick Gehlfuss. "Reasons" will be directed by Randall Arney.

Performances are set to begin July 29 and run through Aug. 31.

Amber Tamblyn is the daughter of West Side Story actor Russ Tamblyn.
