Miami Heat Roster: NBA Team's Hopes To Make The Finals Lie On Wade's Health, Can Heat Make A Comeback Without LeBron?

The current Miami Heat roster is nowhere near the lineup where it won its last NBA championship in 2013, especially after Lebron James went back to Cleveland, and other role players have since moved on.

But not for Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade, who will shoulder all the pressure to carry this team to a fifth consecutive Finals apperance.

The question now is 'can they do it?'

Enough Firepower

With James out, Miami badly needs someone to take charge in the offense and score in bunches like what the 4-time MVP did during his 4-year stint with the Heat. Good thing Bosh is capable of doing that in the past, and hopefully he can bring back the old Raptor in him that averaged more than 25 points and 10 rebounds a game.

Better Supporting Cast

One can argue that the Miami Heat roster after LeBron's departure is actually better as a team. Veteran Luol Deng is certainly one of the top acquisitions for Heat president Pat Riley. Deng can run the floor, become a third option on offense, and is notably a lockdown defender. Danny Granger has recently come from injury, though his experience and shooting proficiency will certainly help Miami spread the floor. Josh McRoberts, who became vital in Charlotte's trip to the Playoffs last season, is a big guy who can score inside, spot up from midrange, and dish assists.

Wade Will Want To Prove Something

As the cornerstone of this Miami team, Wade will need to reassert himself once more as a ballhandler, penetrator and facilitator for the Heat. James did all that during the last four years, and it will be up to Wade whether his team can make the first three spots in the Eastern Conference or become 7th or 8th seed. Of course, that will depend on his health.
