Barclays Premier League: Andrew Robertson and Harry Maguire for Hull City

   The signing of Andrew Robertson from Dundee United and Harry Maguire from Sheffield United have bolstered the defensive options of the Hull City. Left-back Robertson blended in for a fee of £2.85m as the centre-half Maguire cost £2.5m. These two great players have penned a three-year contract each, with the Hull City having a liberty of an option for a further year.

            The 20-year-old player, Robertson, signed for Dundee United back in 2013 after giving amazement for Queens Park and made 44 appearances in all competitions, gaining five goals last season.

    The great performances he showed let to his inclusion in the PFA Scotland Team of the Year for the Scottish Premiership and him being tagged as PFA Scotland Young Player of the Year. He made his debut for Scotland in the winning match over Poland in March, while he marked his first start for his country against Nigeria in May.

            On the other hand, Maguire developed through the youth ranks at the Sheffield United and has been a key member of the first team since year 2011. The 21-year-old player won the club's Player of the Year award for the last three seasons; appeared a total of 166 times for the Blades, gaining 12 goals - as he has also been capped one time at England Under-21 level.

            "As soon as I heard of Hull City's interest, I wanted to make the move," Maguire told hullcitytigers.com.

            He added: "Coming here and having the chance to play in the Premier League, it was a no-brainer really."

            "It's a great opportunity to come here and it's a fantastic challenge - one that I'm excited about. It's one of, if not the greatest domestic league in the world of football, and I want to test myself against the best week in, week out."

            The two players join Jake Livermore, Robert Snodgrass and Tom Ince in signing for Hull this summer.
