Benedict Cumberbatch On 'Sherlock' Season 4 Moriarty, Spotted With Alleged Girlfriend During San Diego Comic-Con 2014

Benedict Cumberbatch may be the keeper of the most sought-after secrets in the industry, including spoilers on "Sherlock" season 4.

According to an interview with MTV, Benedict Cumberbatch knows how Moriarty returns in "Sherlock" season 4, but is choosing to actively forget.

"I casually choose to forget in order to rediscover it again a little bit," said Cumberbatch. "I like casually forgetting, not least because there's a lot of other traffic between then and now but also because it's more fun because it's slightly more fresh." 

"It's a very good idea, I do remember that detail. I'm just trying not to remember it so I don't blurt it out." 

According to IBTimes, filming for "Sherlock" season 4 will begin early next year with the Christmas special, and the remaining three episodes will be shot toward the end of the year.

"Because it's coming to us from our partners in the U.K., we have to wait to know when it'll be finished, when it'll be available," said PBS CEO Paula Kerger. "We'll be watching for it and putting it in a great slot in the schedule. Of course it's more complicated if you can't plan further out of where you would schedule a program like that. But we're happy--whenever it comes, we'll put it in a wonderful place. I know the next season is going to be terrific." 

Meanwhile, Benedict Cumberbatch has been spotted during the San Diego Comic-Con with a blonde woman who may be the actor's alleged girlfriend.

"Benedict has a girlfriend," a source previously confirmed to ShowBizSpy. "He's keeping it very hush-hush. But it's safe to say he's smitten!"
