‘Bond 24’ News: Rumors Of Premiere Delay? Script Rewrite Causes Production Date To Be Pushed Back On New James Bond Movie

In the latest "Bond 24" news, a major script rewrite has caused the production date to be pushed back. Rumors are cropping up that this may cause an eventual premiere delay for the new James Bond movie. Read on for the latest news on the "Bond 24" film.

According to the Daily Mail, production on "Bond 24" has been pushed back to start in late November or early December. Originally, the new James Bond film starring Daniel Craig as agent 007 was scheduled to begin filming in October for a November 2015 premiere. Will the release date be delayed?

Production has been pushed back due to the major script rewrite that we previously reported. Sam Mendes brought "Skyfall" original writers Neal Purvis and Robert Wade back to "Bond 24" to rewrite the script turned in by Oscar-winning screenwriter John Logan, according to rumors reported by The Daily Mail, because there weren't enough "gags" and jokes between James Bond and Moneypenny.

According to Cinema Blend, Purvis and Wade were asked to "sprinkle in more gags, emphasizing the witty repartee between Daniel Craig's 007 and Naomie Harris's Miss Moneypenny, and focusing on the interplay between Bond and Ralph Fiennes' M."

According to Metro UK, an executive associated with the James Bond films told Mail Online: "Neal and Robert are only doing what was done to them. There's no blood; no scars."

"Let's call it polite turmoil. People are getting on with their work, but we have to wait for the script, so filming won't begin till December, a few months later than they wanted."

However, so far it seems the film remains on schedule to premiere November 2015, Den of Geek reports.

Let's hope there are no more delays! We can't wait for the latest installment in the James Bond franchise.
