'Iron Man 4' Release Date: Robert Downey Junior Says He Is Open To Doing Another 'Iron Man' Movie For Marvel, Named Highest Paid Actor In World By Forbes [VIDEO]

Recently Rovert Downey Jr. talked about the possibility of appearing in "Iron Man 4" after previosly saying that he may be done with the roe. "Iron Man 4" movie has not been officially confirmed but, all reports indicate that the movie will almost certainly be going ahead, with a May 3, 2019 release date currently being touted.

Marvel Studios recently revealed their calendar of (unannounced) films during Comic Con 2014 marking their line-up of movies up to 2019. May 2019 is the most likey available slot on the list.

In an interview last week with Entertainment Weekly, Downey Jr. said he'd be open to staying with the role. "It's down to Kevin [Feige, Marvel Studios president] and Ike [Perlmutter, CEO of Marvel Entertainment] and Disney to come to us with what the proposal is, and that's on us to agree or disagree," Downey Jr. said to the magazine. "When things are going great, there's a lot of agreement."

And it's really quite evident that "things are going great" for both parties. Each "Iron Man" sequel has grossed more than the last one and that indicates more and more fans are following the franchise. "This has been a really good one and it feels good and we're having a good time," the actor said.

"It's that thing of: Why give up the belt when it feels like you can barely get jabbed?" he said. "Most people are saying that right when they get knocked out."

Downey Jr. knows that all of the films, including the Avengers series, have grossed more than the last one and that Iron Man is at the top. "This has been a really good one and it feels good and we're having a good time," he said.

Downey Jr. was just named the highest paid actor on the Forbes list once again. He earned $75 million last year, mostly from the back-end of the "Iron Man" series. Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson came in at number two.

Although the actor didn't have a timeline or any specific news, he did say, "The future is, as usual, uncertain."
