Cleveland Cavaliers Roster Still Has Some Space For Future Hall Of Famer Ray Allen, 39-Year-Old 'Content' With Retiring?

After LeBron James made his decision to come home, the Cleveland Cavaliers roster immediately became one of the promising teams in the NBA and already a lock in the Playoffs.

However, James was not alone when he decided to choose his hometown than South Beach in Miami. Former teammates Mike Miller and James Jones have already signed with the Cavs in the succeeding weeks after LBJ returned.

Both Miller and Jones are three-point specialists, but it looks like LeBron still wants to bring some quality veteran play from future Hall of Famer Ray Allen.

At 39 years old, Allen can still sprint the court in transition, play defense and spot up for those threes.

In an interview with Dom Amore of The Courant, he said deciding to play does not just boil down to whether he can or not.

"To continue playing, really, the only argument is I can because I'm in great shape. But just because you can doesn't mean you have to."

For the past 18 years, Allen has made every imaginable three point shot in the court, and that includes game winners, clutch shots, and other memorable ones, the most recent of which include the game-tying rainbow shot in Game 6 between the Spurs and Heat in the 2013 NBA Finals to force a Game 7, where Miami won its second straight title.

More than a year later and that is already part of Allen's memorable and stellar career as an elite shooter. But now that he is a free agent for certainly the last time in his career, the 38-year-old guard is weighing his options and not in any way rushing things.

However, in the interview, he makes a point that he is already content with all that he has accomplished in the NBA. And in case his decision pushes him to retire, he will be content with that as well.
