2PM Wooyoung Agrees with Junho and Junsu, "Wooyoung Can Be Really Annoying"

"Because I was the first one out of 2PM to debut solo, I could only do my very best."

On July 9, Wooyoung shared his thoughts on his solo debut at his mini album release show.

He said, "I was really happy while preparing for my solo album. I'm the first one out of my group to release a solo album. I'm so thankful to all my members, so I can only do my best. I was busy preparing even while 2PM was active."

Just an hour into the event, Wooyoung's title song, "Sexy Lady," and other songs, "Be with You", "2NITE" and "Only Girl," were all performed on stage. Following the performances, the behind-the-scenes shots from his preparation were captured and presented in a video.

In the video, 2PM members Junsu and Junho expressed, "Wooyoung can be annoyingly persistent," which stirred curiosity in the crowd.

They continued, "We had the opportunity to produce and write for Wooyoung's first album and we got to see a new side of him," and "Because of his perfectionist tendencies, he would pressure us to write while we were working on the song already. He would even call Park Jin Young to see what the status and update was. In other words, he's kind of annoying sometimes, but that's how much he cared for this album and it shows. Through all the hard work he was able to come up with this masterpiece."

After seeing the video, Wooyoung responded, "I can't deny what they said because it's the truth. I was very persistent in asking about the song even when I knew they were working on it. I would ask, 'How's it going', periodically. It wasn't easy preparing for mine while we had 2PM events so Junho had to take a whole day out of our Japan concert to work on the recording of this song. He agreed to do it so we were able to finish it as planned."

Now that he's done his showcase successfully, he will officially start his solo career on the July 12 through Mnet "M! Countdown."
