Motorola Moto X+1 (Moto X2) Release Date, New Leaked Photos, Specs, And Rumors: Several Leaks This Week: Smartphone Will Have Wood, Leather, Or Plastic Back [PHOTO]

Motorola has been incredibly quiet about their upcoming Moto X+1 phone, even though the release date is coming, despite this a lot of information has been unveiled this past week due to leaks. 

Moto X+1, or Moto X2, has been slated for an August release date, by all estimations, though some say the release date may be as late as September. September, however, is when several other smartphones are coming out, and many industry specialist speculate that Motorola may want to jump the gun on them and get their phone out first. 

Moto X+1 shows a resemblance to Moto X in shape, with the signature custom-made wood back, according to photos acquired by AndroidPolice. Customers can also opt for leather and plastic backs. In the photo, the camera with dual-LED flashes is seen above a Motorola logo on the back. Rumors suggest that the rear camera is a 12 mega-pixel camera.

The phone is rumored to have a 5.1-inch screen has sides made of aluminum.

Rumored specs of Moto X+1 include a quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of storage and a 2,900 mAh battery. It may also sport a tiny SD slot in different sizes of16GB, 32GB, 64GB.

The Moto X+1 is also expected to come with an upgraded notification system, displaying notifications acros the top of the screen even while the smartphone is locked.

Motorola's upcoming Moto X+1 could have wood and leather backs. Before you get too excited, there is no way to verify that the phone that AndroidPolice shows is really the Moto X+1, or just a mock-up.
