'Walking Dead' Season 5 Spoilers, Photos, Release Date, And Trailer: AMC Showrunners Scott Gimple And Robert Kirkman Talk About Glenn Dying, Say Season 5 Will Be Most Like Comics [VIDEO]

The cast and executive producers of "The Walking Dead" have made several Season 5 announcements.

Show runner Scott Gimple said the gang will get out of the train car eventually, though he didn't disclose when. During the "Walking Dead" panel, he screened a funny clip which found Rick and his fellow train passengers feasting on one another. Later on he revealed that the clip was a fake.

Gimple then revealed real details on what's in store for everyone on the new season.

"Once they lost the prison, all bets were off. They did find out that you can't come back from the things that you've done ... This season is going to define these characters ... We're going to see the story of Terminus. We're going to see how it happened," he explained.

"We'll probably revisit a few places you'll recognize ... but there are new worlds being introduced as well," said executive producer Greg Nicotero.

Fans are also wondering about what happened to Beth. Though Emily Kinney couldn't reveal what exactly her character is up to, she said, "[Beth's] gotten a lot stronger."

"We've seen her lose her father and leave the farm where she grew up. [Daryl] really taught her some survival skills. She's lived a little now. She's not a teenager anymore," she said.

Those who are loyal to the original comic book version of "The Walking Dead" will also be happy to know that the show runners plan to "stick pretty close to the comics.

"Season 5 possibly has more comic book moments than any season has thus far," Kirkman chimed in. "There's still a lot of ground to cover. There's a lot there that we'll be getting to very quickly and getting to it in interesting, new and different ways where you won't see it coming.

New actors are also coming onboard for season 5. Executive producer Dave Alpert confirmed that Seth Gilliam is joining the show as Father Gabriel Stokes.

The brief clip led many to believe that Glenn might be killed this season and Negan could make an appearance. There have been rumors that Negan was going to be added to Season 5. In the comics Glenn does die at the hands of Negan, who beats him to death with a barbed wire bat, but the show is known for tweaking storylines between the comics and the TV show.

Yahoo recently caught up with Greg Nicotero and asked him about that Glenn-Negan scene.

"I can say I'm glad you caught that. And that your intuition... I can't say. I can't say. I can say that it's in the trailer for a reason," Nicotero said. Showrunner Scott Gimple also talked about that scene to The Hollywood Reporter and suggested that people "go back and see if there was barbed wire around the bat."

"We can see anything this season. Anything is possible - and good eye," creator Robert Kirkman added.

In the same interview both Kirkman and Gimple said that there is a lot of "misdirection" in the trailer and it includes snippets from several different episodes in the upcoming season.

"There is at least one big moment this season that takes something from the comic that we blew past a year and a half ago," Gimple said. "There are some pieces that are different. There is some stuff that's completely and utterly different from the comic - though inspired [by it] - and circles back to the comic."

"The Walking Dead" Season 5 will premiere on Oct. 12 at 9/8c on AMC.
