Moto 360 Release Date, Rumors, Price, Specs, And News: New Leaked Photos Of Motorola Smartwatch Show Magnetic Induction Charging [PHOTO]

The Moto 360 release date is coming, while Motorola hasn't given an exact release date, they have said it is coming this summer. Today a picture of the wireless induction charger leaked online.

Little is known about the hardware of the Moto 360, but is is certain that Motorola has filed a "Motorola Wireless Charger" with the FCC.The charger utilizes the Wireless Power Consortium (WPC) protocol, otherwise known as Qi.

The Moto 360 is also rumored to have a plastic body, has a 1.88-inch screen, and is 13.5mm thick.

Like Samsung and LG's "wearables," the Moto 360 will run on Android Wear OS. Motorola has only confirmed that the Moto 360 uses Android Wear though, and all other specifications listed above or below remain speculation.

A new report from Mister Gadget shows new details about the smartwatch. According to the tipster, the Moto 360 is IP67 water resistant and also has an optical heart rate sensor and pedometer built in. Motorola has also included wireless charging and will ship the Moto 360 with a desktop dock.

The report aso claims that the battery lasts 2.5-times longer than the LG G Watch, which means users can expect to get around 2.5 days of use before needing to recharge the wearable. He also says, "The display is legible in extreme sunlight" and has better color saturation than both the LG G Watch and Samsung Gear Live.

Again Motorola has not announced a specific release date other than "this summer." Check back often as we get closer to the Moto 360 release date.
