HTC One Wear Release Date: Android Wear Wearable Set To Take On Moto 360 This August 2014

HTC One Wear release date: A huge, booming trend in the market today is the rise of Android Wears among consumer electronics manufacturers. In fact, according to according to Strategy Analytics, 1.9 million smartwatches had been shipped around the world last year.

However, that is just the tip of the ice berg. Strategy Analytics also reported that shipments during the first quarter of this year alone had dramatically increased to 250 percent. Again, this is only during the first quarter. Also, Android is the leading software of all the smartwatches after 61 percent of them last year. As a result of this growing trend in the market, more and more manufacturers want to get a slice of this pie, including HTC.

This August, the Taiwanese company is all set to release the HTC One Wear, its first ever Android Wear wearable that will soon be available in the market. And the public couldn’t be more excited.

Because of its round shape, the HTC One Wear is bound to stand out against the rest of the square smartwatches. However, it is also because of its shape that this wearable will be facing the Motorola Moto 360.

Unlike Motorola which has officially released to the public what the Moto 360 will look like, HTC has kept the public in the dark about its appearance. It is only certain that the wearable will be round.

TK Tech News reported that the One Wear will be available in two versions: the polycarbonate and metal version. You can expect this rumor to happen because this also happened to the HTC One M8 and HTC One E8.

DigitalSpy backed up TK Tech News reports and said, “"the user interface, despite being Android Wear, also appears to have a skin similar to that of HTC's own Sense UI found on smartphones."

Many critics are also guessing that the HTC One Wear will cost around $350, within the price range of the LG G Watch and the Motorola Moto 360.
