Ashlee Simpson's wedding to Evan Ross looms and she's trying very hard to remain fit for the big day. Meanwhile, Jessica Simpson's sister is reportedly still close to her ex as she hangs out with musician Ryan Cabrera.

The British tabloid MailOnline has published a series of photos showing the "Pieces of Me" singer as she stepped out of the Studio City gym in California on Tuesday. According to the site, Ashlee Simpson's wedding to Evan Ross is rumored to be scheduled on Labor Day which is on the first Monday of September.

The 29-year-old singer was wearing an all-black ensemble with cropped leggings, tank top, baseball cap and Nike trainers.

"Simpson brought a tiny pop of color to her outfit with a bright orange-red manicure and matching design on her hat," it said.

Meanwhile, Us Weekly reported that Ashlee Simpson and Ryan Cabrera are still close despite moving on to different relationships. During his recent birthday party, for example, Jessica Simpson's little sister was there.

"They were both super cute with one another, very affectionate and very touchy feely. At one point Ashlee even had Evan sitting on her lap as they conversed with their friends," a source told the magazine.

There's no update to Ashlee Simpson's wedding to Evan Ross, particularly on the details of the ceremony, even if the "Pieces of Me" singer is rumored to be pregnant. However, no baby bump yet is evident for the fiancée of the "Hunger Games: Mockingjay" actor.

Ashlee Simpson won't have any problem being accepted into his family as the "Hunger Games" actor's siblings are absolutely enamored with her.

Whether Ashlee Simpson is pregnant or not, Evan Ross had said in an earlier interview that he plans to be with her for the long haul.

"Honestly, we could go and get married right now, wherever," he said. "This is the most incredible time I could ever think of in my life and I'm young, but the same time, I've lived a different life than most and I can't think of a happier moment."
