Audrey Hepburn's Granddaughter, Emma Ferrer, Poses For Magazine; Opens Up About Life And Grandmother

Audrey Hepburn's granddaughter, Emma Ferrer, graces the cover of "Harper's Bazaar" magazine's September issue and opens up about her life and iconic grandmother.

The 20-year-old posed for the magazine for the first time, with Michael Avedon, iconic photographer Richard Avedon's grandson, as the photographer.

The older Avedon shot Audrey Hepburn on numerous occasions and was fictionalized in Hepburn's film, "Funny Face," according to Us Magazine.

Audrey Hepburn's granddaughter looks strikingly like her grandmother, Entertainment Online says.

The Morges-born Ferrer has remained out of the spotlight until her magazine cover debut, wearing a Lanvin gown with fitted black sleeves top and a loose skirt that is closely similar to her iconic grandmother's style.

"I've been questioning a lot lately what she means to me. I knew her image, of course, and that I happened to be, by pure chance, related to her. But as a child I couldn't really relate to Audrey Hepburn, the actress. To me, she was family," said Ferrer, who is currently a student at the Florence Academy of Art.

Audrey Hepburn's granddaughter, one of her eldest son Sean's children, was born a year after the actress died.

"I can live with her through my father. His stories are all about his growing up," Ferrer says.

It is inevitable to be asked about personal questions when one is related to an iconic personality and when asked to talk more about her grandmother as an actress, Ferrer has this to say: "I haven't seen all of her movies. When I watched 'Breakfast at Tiffany's,' I enjoyed it the same way any young girl would. I've seen 'My Fair Lady' and 'Roman Holiday,' but I suppose my favorite is 'Funny Face.'"

When asked if she has anything of her late grandmother's, she answers: "All I can think of are her cashmere turtlenecks, which I adore and wear all throughout the winter. And a white antique stuffed teddy bear."

While Ferrer does not have much to say about her grandmother apart from stories told to her, his father reveals that she and her grandmother have a lot in common, The Daily Mail reports.

"My mother was the same as she was on the screen: unassuming, humble, funny, emotional, strong, delicate," says Ferrer's father.

Being associated with Audrey Hepburn is inevitable for Ferrer. "Sometimes when I was younger, I felt confused toward what having a grandmother like her could mean in my life. But I am now understanding," she said.
