Install Android 4.4.4 KitKat Update On Samsung Galaxy S2 T-Mobile Variant; AlpineROM Custom Firmware Available For South Korean Tech Company’s 2011 Flagship Smartphone

Samsung Galaxy S2 users can now install Android 4.4.4 KitKat update!

The T-Mobile variant of Samsung Galaxy S2 can now be updated with Android 4.4.4 KitKat update. Custom firmware called AlpineROM is now available for Samsung Galaxy S2 SGH-T989 or the T-Mobile variant of the 2011 flagship smartphone.

The specs list for Samsung Galaxy S2 SGH-T989 posted on GSM Arena website revealed that the latest update made for the smartphone is Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean. But thank to custom ROM developers, Samsung Galaxy S2 owners can now install Android 4.4.4 KitKat update on their device.

According to International Business Times report, the Alpine ROM for Samsung Galaxy S2 is "based on n popular custom firmwares - CyanogenMod, SlimRom, ChaOS and OmniROM."

But before proceeding to install the custom ROM update based on Android 4.4.4 KitKat, there are some requirements that should be met first.

The battery level should be 80 percent or more before installing Android 4.4.4 KitKat update on Samsung Galaxy S2 T-Mobile.

Go to Settings > Developer Options to enable USB Debugging mode on the Samsung Galaxy S2.

Make sure the correct USB drivers are installed on the PC so the Samsung Galaxy S2 SGH-T989 will easily connect once the installation process is about to begin.
