Derek Hough Heading To 'Nashville': Will The 'Dancing With The Stars' Vet Become Pregnant Juliette’s New Love Interest?

Looks like ABC's "Nashville" is getting some fresh eye candy. "Dancing With the Stars" alum Derek Hough will reportedly appear on the country music drama this fall.

Hough, who has wowed fans for seasons with his fancy footwork on the "DWTS" dance floor, will reportedly be featured in a storyline opposite Hayden Panetierre's bad girl-turned-sort-of-good Juliette Barnes. But does the chart-topping vixen have room on her date card for another handsome hunk?

According to People Magazine, Hough will join the cast of "Nashville" in October for a multi-episode arc. ABC announced that the "Dancing With the Stars" vet will play a "beguiling and disarming" actor who is cast in the lead male role of an upcoming biopic on a famous country music couple. Oh, and he'll be playing the love interest of Juliette, who will also be cast as one half of a legendary duo.

E! News reports that Hough's character will not be the biggest fan of Ms. Barnes. With the promise of tension on set, it seems possible that sparks may fly between Hough's character and Juliette.

However, with E! News also confirming that Hayden Panetierre's pregnancy will definitely be written into the new season, Juliette's love life certainly seems, well... complicated. Fans may remember that as last season ended, Juliette landed herself in hot water after cheating on boyfriend Avery with sleazy music executive Jeff Fordham. A messy situation indeed.  

Panetierre, 24, is expecting her first child with fiancé Wladimir Klitschko. "She's going to be more than an amazing mother," Klitschko told E! News.

As for Hough, he recently appeared in the dance-centric film "Make Your Move" about a pair of star-crossed lovers caught up in New York's dance scene. He also announced this month that he will be returning for the new season of "Dancing With the Stars." Perhaps he'll bring some of those smooth moves to "Nashville."

Season three of the ABC show premieres on Wednesday, September 24 at 10 pm EST with a live episode.
