Samsung Galaxy S2 Plus: Specs Of Android Handset Incl. 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Display, Dual-Core Processor, 1GB RAM; Still A Much Loved & Used Smartphone

Samsung Galaxy S2 Plus: Specs of the Samsung Galaxy S2 Plus, the refreshed 2013 variant of the Samsung Galaxy S2, include a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED display, a 1.2GHz dual-core processor running on 1GB of RAM and an Android 4.1.2 OS upgradeable to Android 4.2.2. Thought the handset is “old” by many accounts, it continues to be an adored handset for many.

Like other S2 users, the built and features of the Samsung Galaxy S2 Plus is just deemed perfect and a great upgrade from its predecessor. Thus, though no official updates are provided for the unit, it continues to attract a following.

With a measurement of 4.93 x 2.60 x 0.33 inches and a weight of 121 grams, the Samsung Galaxy S2 Plus is one of the lightest and slimmest bodies in the mid-range smartphone category. It has mirrored the stylish design of its predecessor but failed to include the Galaxy S2’s rough texture at the back. As a result, its slippery back gives a less solid grip.

Meanwhile, its 4.3" Super AMOLED Plus capacitive touchscreen has a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels and pixel density of 217 ppi. Although it has kept the S2’s display of vibrant colors and shades, its resolution could have been better.

Under the hood, there is no bad fruit about the Galaxy S2 Plus. Considering that it was supposed to be an upgrade, it was a bit disappointing that to see that the internal storage has been downgraded to 8 GB. Good thing it can still be upgraded to 64 GB. In other words, users of this phone will have a make or break memory.

It’s smooth and sound Android OS coupled with Samsung's TouchWiz interface, version 5.0, also allows you to browse videos simultaneously.

Shooting 8 MP pictures, the rear camera is only a slight upgrade. Also, its 2 MP camera is nothing to boast about.

There is nothing fancy or outstanding about the Samsung Galaxy S2 Plus, especially if it is compared to its high-quality counterparts and successors in the Galaxy line. But the S2 Plus delivers a great Android experience in a great packaging.
