'Alien Isolation' Trailer And Release Date: New Terrifying Trailer And Gameplay Reviews From Gamescon [VIDEO]

"Alien Isolation" has released a new trailer. And the trailer is scaring the pants off of everyone who sees it.

The game is described as "Discover the true meaning of fear in Alien: Isolation, a survival horror set in an atmosphere of constant dread and mortal danger. Fifteen years after the events of Alien, Ellen Ripley's daughter, Amanda enters a desperate battle for survival, on a mission to unravel the truth behind her mother's disappearance."

The story is set on the decrepid and poorly supplied Sevastopol space station. A ship docks and unleashes the Xenomorph's, so Amanda (the main character and daughter of the movie's Ripley) must sneak through the corridors and solve puzzles while avoiding the predator.

The meat of the gameplay is avoiding the alien. Ripley will find a wide variety of components and combine them to create noisemakers, flashbangs, EMP mines, molotov cocktails, and more. Your main "weapon" is a motion tracker, which you can pull up to see whether the Alien is nearby.

Journalists who have had a chance to play the game have largely concured that it is terrifying, but too hard. The AI has been described as almost being too good. If a player has to repeat a section too many times, the Alien looses some of its terror.

"Alien Isolation" will be released on October 7 for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC. Until then watch this new trailer released at Gamescon.
