Upcoming Nokia Phones 2014: New Lumia 830 Rumored To Get 20MP Camera, 5MP Front Shooter, Midrange Specs? Expected To Be Launched At IFA

Recently, the more popular handset among upcoming Nokia phones is the selfie-ready Nokia 'Superman' which packs a 5MP front camera.

However, it turns out that the Microsoft-own company is also working on an even more interesting device.

Dubbed as the Lumia 830, the Windows Phone 8.1-powered handset should be a successor of the Lumia 925 in terms of design, but gets a protruding camera that looks like that of the Lumia 1020.

And if you're asking then you're right, rumored specs of the Lumia 830 include a whopping 20MP PureView camera. To make things even better, the upcoming handset will also allegedly get a 5MP front cam to take care of all those selfie-heavy consumers.

Unfortunately, the device won't be high-end and in the report it will only get a Snapdragon 400 chipset, LTE connectivity, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory, plus a microSD card slot for memory expansion.

Rounding up the rumored specs is the 4.7-inch display with HD (1280 x 720) resolution, which should be enough for most consumers.

While the 20MP shooter and 5MP front cam are certainly interesting rumored specs, this Nokia handset looks like an aim for Microsoft to shift the attention away from Apple when its new iPhone launches.

Just like the Galaxy Alpha from Samsung, the Nokia Lumia 830 wants to separate itself from previous versions of Lumia smartphones, and pave a new path for itself. In case the rumored specs are true, we may finally get a decent cameraphone which do not break the bank as far as pricing is concerned.

That could also be one reason that the Lumia 830 only gets a Snapdragon 400 and 1GB of RAM, but we are still having reservations whether that combination would be able to handle shutter speed, image processing, etc.

The IFA event in Berlin is just around the corner, and so we just have to wait for Nokia's upcoming smartphone. If this device will actually launch at the annual showcase, it would be a first for Nokia to take part in an otherwise Android-dominated event.
