Nokia X2 Price In India: Android Mobile Handset May Sell For RS 8,2000 Or Original USD 135; Co. Exec Says New Products Will Have ‘Lower & Lower Price Points’

Nokia X2 Price in India: The Android mobile handset that’s expected to be available very soon in India may actually sell for RS 8,200 or around the $135 price tag for when it was originally launched, making it one of the most affordable Android handsets to date.

A Microsoft executive mentioned that the company intends to bring the handset at “lower and lower price points,” erasing any doubts and confusion on its actual sales price once it hits shelves.

"The Nokia X2 elevates the Nokia X experience with a stellar new design, ease of use and new Microsoft experiences. We're proud to continue to bring smartphone innovation to lower and lower price points," said Timo Toikkanen, head of Mobile Phones, Microsoft Devices Group, courtesy of International Business Times.

The Finnish mobile company, now owned by Microsoft, launched the device with a price tag of $135 but some retailers have noted that its expected sales price is at RS 10,900 or around $180.

Specs of the Nokia X2 includes a Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 dual-core processor that clocks at 1.2 GHz, the Nokia X2 sports a 43-inch IPS touch screen display, 1 GB RAM, 4 GB internal memory (expandable up to 32 GB), dual-sim capability, 5 MP primary camera, and the Android 4.4.3 Jelly Bean OS—definitely not Nokia’s best work. But with a relatively low price, its specs and looks will do.

Based on its features and built, the X2 is quite different from its predecessor. Measuring 121.7 x 68.3 x 11.1 mm and weighing 150 grams, the X2 is also lighter.

Available in glossy green, orange and black, glossy yellow, white and matt dark grey colors, the surface is translucent like the phones of Asha series. It also doesn't have Gorilla Glass protection.

The Nokia X2’s 0.3-inch IPS touch screen display has a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels and a pixel density of 217 ppi.

Its rear camera sports 5 MP, while the front one is only 0.3 MP. It features touch focus, landscape orientation, exposure compensation, image editor, full screen viewfinder, auto exposure, geo-tagging, automatic photo upload to web services.
