Jeremy Lin News: New Laker 'Excited' To Work With Bryant And Nash, Coach Scott Lauds His 'Toughness'

The latest Jeremy Lin news takes us to the 25-year-old's quest to prove his worth as an NBA star.

Lin's career has been a rollercoaster ride, especially during his stint with the Houston Rockets where he served as the starting point guard during his first season, and then came off the bench during his second.

His role has slowly diminished from the star he was when he came from New York, to a reserve role where he would often play less than 20 minutes.

However, those experiences are now way behind him now as the former Harvard standout is now suited as the primary floor general for the Lakers in the upcoming season. Even before the season begins, Lin has already expressed how excited he is in learning from future Hall of Famers Kobe Bryant and Steve Nash.

Lin mentions that while Bryant is a different position as he is, he can learn a lot as far as the mental aspect of the game is concerned. The Black Mamba is returning from a torn Achilles injury from last year, and we still cannot tell whether he will be back to vintage form or not.

But one thing's for sure, he surely is not alone in the Laker's conquest to prove their doubters wrong and be the dark horse to take either the two of the last playoff spots for the Western Conference.

Lin will play a major role in that ambition, and he will need to involve his team mates in order to get in the groove for the upcoming NBA season.

Fortunately, Lin will have a number of options - he can penetrate inside and dish assists, play the pick and role a lot more with Laker bigs who can shoot jumpers and roll to the basket, or give the ball to Kobe when those options run out.

The Lakers will be an exciting team to watch this season.
