Pokemon TCG Coming To Apple iPad As Rumble Games Go On Sale To Celebrate Super Smash Bros. 4 For The Wii U And 3DS

Although there is no Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire news, there is a variety of updates in other areas of the franchise.

According to BusinessWeek, the online Pokemon TCG (for the PC) will be coming to iPad as an application. This is one of the first moves for Nintendo to capitalize more on tablet users.

“We have been here many times before in regards to Nintendo’s tentative plans to introduce some of its characters for smart devices,” said manager of Japanese equity sales at BGC Partners Inc. in Singapore, Amir Anvarzadeh.

“This latest Pokemon cards plan which is already out on PCs is hardly a change in its direction.”

"Please don't tell me this is what the 'project' is supposed to be," commented HeavyMetalFairy on PokeJungle

Reportedly, it's been announced that a special Pokemon live stream will stream on August 26 at 9AM EST, titled Monthly Famitsu feat. Pokemon Special on NicoNico.

Reportedly, the stream will be hosted by Ayana Tsubaki and Bunbun-maru, and will feature Tsunekazu Ishihara, the President of The Pokemon Company, as well as Hobuhiko Okamoto and Aoi Yuuki (voice actor Iris in the anime).

Although it is unknown whether a game, manga, or something else entirely will be revealed through this event, fans are hoping it will be the announcement of Pokemon Delta Emerald, the rumored sequel to Emerald that will somehow tie into Zygarde and Pokemon X and Y.

In addition, to commemorate Super Smash Bros. for the Wii U and 3DS, Nintendo to put two Pokemon games on sale starting on August 21.

From August 21 to August 28, Super Pokemon Rumble and Pokemon Rumble U will get a special 33% discount for the 3DS and Wii U.
