Sandra Bullock Back in George Clooney’s Gravity in New Movie; David Gordon Green Will Direct Sandra Bullock in Newly Greenlit Movie

Sandra Bullock and David Gordon Green are teaming up for the political dramedy "Our Brand is Crisis." The new film will put Sandra Bullock back in George Clooney's orbit after last summer's paring in the hit science fiction film "Gravity."

Clooney and Grant Heslov's Smokehouse Pictures will be producing "Our Brand Is Crisis" for Warner Bros. Bullock will also be an executive producer. Warner Bros. has made no comment.

Variety reported that Bullock has committed to star the film and David Gordon Green signed on to direct. Variety also reported that Warners gave the green light to "Our Brand is Crisis." The movie is based on Rachel Boynton's 2005 documentary about American political campaign strategies in South America during the 2002 Bolivian presidential election.

Bullock had been linked to the movie since the beginning of the year but hadn't committed. Variety reported that insiders say she was swayed to join after meeting with Green. The screenplay was written by Peter Straughan who wrote the George Clooney-starrer "The Men Who Stare at Goats."

David Gordon Green directed the films "Prince Avalanche" and "Joe," which starred Nicolas Cage. His next film, "Manglehorn" with Al Pacino and Holly Hunter, will premiere at the Toronto Film Fest.

Bullock will next be seen in Sony's "Tupperware Unsealed." The film is about the inventor of Tupperware and will be directed by Tate Taylor.
