No Minecon 2014: The Next All-Things Minecraft Event To Be Set For London's Springtime Next Year? Minecon 2015 Update Comes After Revealing Game’s PS4 Edition Failed Certification Test

There won't be a Minecon event this 2014.

A sad news for fans eagerly waiting for the next all-things Minecraft event: Minecon will not take place this year. Vu Bui's post on Mojang.com revealed that the company behind famous game Minecraft will not be holding Minecon 2014.

But instead, fans can look forward to Minecon 2015, which is likely to happen during the spring season in London. Mojang COO, Vu Bui, shared:

"I've been getting a lot of questions about MINECON lately, because before this time last year everyone knew the date and location and ticket info for MINECON 2013. While we don't have a set date for the next MINECON just yet, I wanted to let everyone know that it won't be until some time in 2015. I'm shooting to have it in the spring in London!"

He further said, "While we'd love to do MINECON every year and it's the only event we do as a company, we want to make sure we can give it the attention it needs, and that means that springtime next year will work best!"

Minecraft fans can expect information about Minecon 2015 in the coming months. Bui promised to reveal event details such as the venue once they become available. See the entire post about Minecon 2015 here.

As noted on Gamezone, the update for the next Minecon event, which is set to happen in 2015, was made shortly after it was revealed by 4J Studios that the Minecraft PS4 Edition's certification test was not successful. Check out the tweet below:
