NBA Trade Rumors: Amar’e Stoudemire Rumored To Be Traded To Sixers At Deadline?

After the blockbuster Cavs-Wolves trade that will send Cleveland's first overall draft picks Anthony Bennett and Andrew Wiggins to Minnesota and Love to the LeBron-led squad in Northeeast Ohio, another rumored trade will include Knick stalward Amar'e Stoudemire.

This time, it involves the Philadelphia 76ers and the report suggest that it would take place before the trade deadline.

According to a report by NBC Sports, Steve Kyler of Basketball Insiders reported that the Stoudamire-to-Sixers deal may get done by deadline.

Currently, the 31-year-old power forward/center is in his final year with the Knicks and is due to make about $23 million, but his worrisome injuries have tremendously affected his performance in the past couple of years.

And while the Knicks really need someone at the post to make plays for the triangle, they may do so at the expense of the veteran forward/center.

In the report, the Sixers could get Stoudamire's last year from the Knicks and only pay about 30 percent of it, or approximately $7 million. To return the favor, New York may be sending a future draft pick or a rookie to Philadelphia.

Not considering the triangle offense problem, this deal could be a game changer for Philly as they look for possible trade stocks for the upcoming season. Meanwhile, they could also use Stoudamire's length and versatility inside to work with sophomore Nerlens Noel who will play his first NBA game this year.
