'MythBusters' Says Goodbye To Kari Byron, Tori Bellici, And Grant Imahara: Discovery Gives No Reason Why They Fired The Build Team After Ten Years [PHOTO]

Kari Byron, Tori Bellici, and Grant Imahara are all leaving "Mythbusters" after ten years on the show, as announced by Jamie Hyneman and Adam Savage on last nights episode. Discovery Channel show had, aparently, decided to take a "new direction," which is a pretty vague reason for letting someone go after ten years.

"I guess you guys are finding out the news right about now. After a decade of the MythBusters, we are no longer with the show," Kari said in a series of tweets. "Thank you to all the fans who have supported us. The show is taking a new direction. It was an amazing run. I learned so much about myself and the world. I love you all @MythBusters. I am sad for an ending but there will be exciting new adventures for us."

"Kari, Tory and Grant have been an incredibly important part of 'MythBusters' for over a decade," a senior publicist with Discovery told FOX411 in an email. "From explosions to car crashes to even more explosions, this trio has helped shape 'MythBusters' into the Emmy-nominated series it is today.  Everyone at Discovery wants to thank them for their tireless work busting almost 1000 myths, and we wish them all the best on their future endeavors."

There appears to be no hard feelings between the show and its former stars. Bellici wrote on Twitter, "It's been an amazing ride for 10 years! We couldn't have done it without you guys. You're the best fans anyone could wish for. Thank you."

"Thanks @MythBusters for allowing us to teach science in a whole new way," Grant tweeted. "Also, explosions. Now, on to the next adventure!"

Byron also wrote: "After a decade of the Mythbusters, we are no longer with the show. Thank you to all the fans who have supported us." She added: "The show is taking a new direction. It was an amazing run. I learned so much about myself and the world. I love you all. I am sad for an ending but there will be exciting new adventures for us."

"Mythbusters" has been nominated five times for outstanding reality program at the Primetime Emmys. It has yet to take home the trophy.

"This next season we're going back to our origins with just Adam and me," Hyneman said in the video, which explained that the change took hold as of the season's last episode on August 21.

"We're gonna take a brief moment to thank you guys for your incredible work over the last 10 years," Savage said in the video. "You've given literally your blood, sweat, and tears in the name of science and it has been a total pleasure not only to work with you but to call you our friends."

Added Hyneman, "We wish you the very best of luck and thank you."

Byron, Belleci, and Imahara responded to the news, and to their fans, on Twitter.

"After a decade of the MythBusters, we are no longer with the show," Byron tweeted. "Thank you to all the fans who have supported us. The show is taking a new direction. It was an amazing run. I learned so much about myself and the world. I love you all. I am sad for an ending but there will be exciting new adventures for us."

"It's been an amazing ride for 10 years!" Belleci tweeted. "We couldn't have done it without you guys. You're the best fans anyone could wish for. Thank you. We are going to miss you guys! So much love & support. If it wasn't for you guys, MythBusters wouldn't have been possible."

"Thanks MythBusters for allowing us to teach science in a whole new way," Imahara tweeted. "Also, explosions. Now, on to the next adventure!"

In honor of the trio, the "MythBusters" official site created this retrospective of Byron, Belleci and Imahara hard at work busting myths for a decade.

Adam Savage tweeted, "@KariByron, @grantimahara & @ToryBelleci, it's been a pleasure to not only work with you but call you our friends."
