The NBA Trade Rumors are dealing with the final chapter of the Kevin Love saga. We are a few hours away from the trade becoming official, and there is already a side trade happening. Thaddeus Young is going to Minnesota after all.

The Minnesota Timberwolves have been very vocal about acquiring Thaddeus Young as the 'consolation prize' for Kevin Love. Well, they were able to achieve that, and keep Anthony Bennett, last year's first overall pick.

The Minnesota Timberwolves will acquire Philadelphia 76ers forward Thaddeus Young for a 2015 first-round draft pick and two role players, league sources told Yahoo Sports.

The Timberwolves will send Philadelphia the Miami Heat's 2015 first-round pick Minnesota will acquire as part of the Kevin Love deal with Cleveland, sources said. The T-Wolves will send forward Luc Mbah a Moute and guard Alexey Shved to the Sixers.

The draft pick is lottery protected to No. 10 in the 2015 and 2016 drafts, and unprotected in 2017."

The Timberwolves did not get to unload Kevin Martin or JJ Barea in their transactions and it is probably the best for both teams (Cleveland and Minnesota). The Wolves plan to be competitive even in the short term and they would need some veteran presence around the pair of first overall picks they acquired.

It is unlikely that the T-Wolves would make the playoffs in the competitive Western Conference but they would not be pushovers. Also, if Andrew Wiggins lives up to the hype surrounding him, then Minnesota might be playoff bound even by next year.

For Philadelphia, they have long wanted to unload Thaddeus Young and the feeling is mutual, as Young has been hampered by Philly's focus on the future instead of winning in the present. Minnesota, at the very least, wants to compete.

At least on paper, it seems like all the teams got what they wanted.
